Q: What can I expect to save?

A: Typically, manufacturers see a 2- to 10-fold return on their Akoya investment in the first year alone.

Q: What will it cost to use the Akoya software?

A: After a one-time setup fee, you make one annual investment to access your Akoya intelligence.

    • Set Up Fee Akoya setup fees vary, but are typically tied to the number of parts in your system, the complexity of your systems, any ITAR military data or EAR export data requirements in place, the number of CAD systems in place, the amount of current SAP data in place and the number of groups of standard engineering rules.  Please ask us for a custom setup quote.

    • Annual fee Your first annual subscription fee is due upon delivery of the analytics. Your 12 month license includes access to the Akoya system, any required financial updates or new part extractions. Any needed upgrades, maintenance and support during that 12 month period are included in the fee. Your license includes 10 named users. Simply ask us about the investment needed for additional users.

 

Q: How long does implementation take? Will my IT department need to get involved?

A: Your CAD and financial data are uploaded into the Akoya system simultaneously. Solid CAD models and financial data can typically be extracted in 2-3 weeks. Quality assurance typically takes 3-5 weeks. In total, these steps may be expected to take about 8 weeks. At this point, your custom Akoya Dashboards are rolled out to you, with minimal to no support needed from your IT team. Akoya is a web based application so you’ll also get automatic software updates as part of your annual Akoya license.

 

Q: What do we need to provide for a successful implementation?

A: The Akoya team will need to meet with your engineering team to learn about their design parameters. Your CAD drawings will need to be supplied to Akoya for data extraction and someone from your team will need to be available to answer questions during this time. If you have a Product Lifecycle Management system, a script will need to be written (typically by your PLM expert) to give Akoya access to your PLM system. The Akoya team will also need to meet with your finance / purchasing team to learn how they want financial information to be made available in the Akoya system. Purchasing, parts, process and supplier data and any other financial data you want rolled in would need to be supplied to Akoya at this stage for data extraction. The Akoya team handles the work, with little need for your IT team to be involved.
